Mermaids!
A new year is underway, and after much anticipation and querying by the mermaids, Women First Swimming is set to make a splash back in the pool! Next Saturday January 31 coach Sara will be on deck to greet you with her familiar warm smile and some hot coffee to get you ready for a return to all your favorite mermaid drills and sets. From torpedoes, shark fins, and streamline rolls…all your favorites will be back for Saturday mornings…8:30 a.m!
We will introduce a 2-part program to allow Early Birds to get started now in January with a 5-week class, while the spring time crowd can begin in March with the regular 10-week program. Those who register for both parts (the full 15 weeks) get a discounted fee.
Registration is now open for any of the programs. There is limited space so sign up as soon as you can.
Program information will be updated periodically at www.womenfirst.wordpress.com. Please share with those you think might be interested in upcoming sessions. Newbie mermaids are always welcome to do a drop in session to check out the program for a drop in fee of $15.
The WOMEN FIRST SWIM PROGRAM is open to women of all ages and will focus on preparing you for the triathlon season with drills, strength, endurance, pacing experience and some open water skills.
This program provides:
· Weekly swim classes in a fun and supportive training environment
· Individualized feedback
· Instruction on drills, strength, and triathlon specific skills
· Workout guidelines
5-WEEK CLASS: Jan 31- Feb 28
10-WEEK CLASS: March 14 – May 23 (Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. NO class Easter April 11)
WHEN: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Balcones Pool located at 12012 Amherst Dr in Northwest Austin, a little north up Mopac off Duval. Heated pool with full showers and change rooms available.
FEES:
· 5-Week – $75;
· 10-Week – $125,
· BOTH PROGRAMS 15-Week – $185
